Psst! Do you know what could be a really fun treat for your kiddos this weekend? That’s right – we’d bet that they’d enjoy a trip to a playground. And not just any playground. ONE Intervention has compiled a list of the top 5 popular sensory playgrounds in Singapore for your family to enjoy.
Sensory play has a ton of benefits, including improving your child’s social awareness and motor skills. We go more into it here – This Is Sensory Play Actually Simplified – One Intervention Centre – but the point is, a trip to any one of these playgrounds is sure to prove to be an enriching experience. Plus, it’s plain fun! Alright, without further ado, let’s get into the list!
Toa Payoh Sensory Park
First up on our list of popular sensory playgrounds in Singapore, we’ve got the humble Toa Payoh Sensory Park. This park has been specially curated to cater to people of all ages, so that everyone from Grandma to your youngest will be able to enjoy the equipment. The highlight of this park is that it has been uniquely designed to stimulate all 5 senses, even the vestibular (movement) and proprioceptive (muscle and joints) senses. We go into further detail about those here: Your Helpful Guide To Sensory Issues In Adults!
The Toa Payoh Sensory Park also features three special, larger-than-life mirrors. These play optical illusions, cleverly allowing viewers to see a hidden face in the park when they look through the glass. Besides that, your little ones can also amuse themselves with the interactive steel plates in the heart of the park. These giant steel plates look a lot like drum cymbals and are meant to amplify sound. When you stand between them and speak, your volume is increased and reflected in such a way that you can actually hear your words from the direction behind you. Cool, isn’t it?
Be sure to not pass up any of the educational opportunities that this park offers! There are plenty of signboards detailing this mature estate’s rich history. For example, did you know that Toa Payoh was once known as ‘swampland’ in Hokkien? Beyond just heritage facts, the signboards also show some examples of sign language and interesting plants. Take your time in exploring this fascinating sensory playground – you won’t regret it!
Sentosa Sensoryscape
ONE Intervention has brought our students to Sentosa Sensoryscape before, so trust us when we say that this sensory playground is actually amazing. The Sensoryscape is an immersive, multisensory passageway that connects the beaches at Sentosa to Resort World Sentosa. It features not one, not two, but six sensory gardens: Each one is uniquely designed to create an immersive experience that’s sure to leave your head spinning in the best way possible.
Enjoy the lush and vibrant views from Lookout Loop, where you can be treated to a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the entire city. Or enjoy a soothing afternoon at Symphony Streams, where you can enjoy the rush of trickling water and take a moment to simply breathe and appreciate the beauty around you. Pro tip: Visit Symphony Streams at night, where interactive light technology transforms the space into a magical underwater realm, replete with giant projections of marine animals!
Speaking of the Sensoryscape at night, be sure to not miss out on the ImagiNite experience! When the sun sets, innovative light and augmented reality technology is activated. This creates a mesmerising display of unique art installations to illuminate the night. See if you and your kids can spot all seven of them together!

F3 Theme Park
Pronounced F-cube and not F-three, this sensory playground derives its quirky name from the alliteration Fun Future Farmer – and it’s exactly what it sounds like. F3 Theme Park was designed to stimulate an indoor playground based on the concept of farming. They do so through semi-realistic, hands-on activities such as milling, grinding and planting.
This open-concept playground is sure to delight the young, hyperactive kiddos in your family! They’re free to roam about and do whatever they like, be it grinding up soybeans at an actual stone mill, or learning how to harvest maize at the maize harvesting pit.
But your kids are more interested in a good old jungle gym, not to worry! F3 Theme Park also has a fantastic ball pit, complete with wide curving slides and a sproingy giant trampoline. It’s sure to wear out even your most energetic kid – and if it doesn’t, you can check out our article on Hurry To Visit These 5 Massive Kids’ Indoor Playgrounds Now!
Beyond just fun tactile play, this sensory playground also offers you a golden opportunity to teach your children more about sustainability in Singapore. This is a particularly pertinent topic, given Singapore’s fierce fight against climate change. It’s never too early to help your little eco-heroes learn more about the planet they’ll grow up in!

Rocketland
Do you have any eager explorers in your family? Maybe one of your kids aspires to become the world’s greatest astronaut (perfectly understandable, we’ve all been in their shoes at one point or the other)? You can help kickstart their journey by bringing them to Rocketland – the sensory playground that’s absolutely out of this world.
Okay, well, Rocketland isn’t strictly a playground, but we couldn’t bear to leave it out of this list. It’s actually a giant bouncy castle, standing proud at over 5000 square feet of space in the atrium of Aperia Mall. The unique thing about Rocketland is that it’s been specifically designed with sensory play in mind.
Every inflatable is dyed a cheery, uniform yellow and each structure has been broken down to its basic shapes. This means that the inflatables at Rocketland are far less likely to cause overstimulation to your kids, making it a sensory-friendly playground. There’s also the perk of small play stations designed to be educational and enriching for your little ones. The entire playground also has a calmer atmosphere than most, due to the soothing gentle beats played as background music. These help to center your child and ensure that the environment is not too overwhelming for them.
Do note that as of now, the June slots for Rocketland are just about fully booked. However, Rocketland slots will again be made available in August. Keep an eye out, and save the date!
Kiztopia Prestige
We can’t finish this list of popular sensory playgrounds without including the ever-famous Kiztopia Prestige! This mind-blowing indoor playground promises to be a haven for young adventurers. It’s been specially tailored with toddlers and preschoolers in mind, so your youngest is sure to have a blast here.
Your kids can benefit from the tactile play of the Hinoki pit. Scoops and plastic wheelbarrows are provided so they can dig around and properly enjoy the feel of these small wooden blocks – far less messy than the traditional sandpit! Also, be sure to check out the giant slides and mesh nets where you little monkeys – ahem, little children – can bounce around to their heart’s content. This improves their vestibular sense and also promotes their gross motor skills, but beyond that, it’s just fun!
Your quieter children might appreciate the roleplay stations where they can pretend to be gourmet chefs, dishing up only the best, Michelin-starred meals. Or, your little bookworms might enjoy the book nook where they can curl up in the cosy ambience of warm amber lights with a good story and comfortable seat. Whatever your kid’s preference, Kiztopia Prestige is definitely able to cater to it!
